Bollywood’s first female superstar, Sridevi passes away in Dubai at 54

This morning, well-wishers and ardent fans of actress, Sridevi Boney Kapoor woke up to a heartbreaking news of their superstar dieing from a massive heart attack.
Sridevi, 54, was in UAE, with her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor for the wedding celebrations of her nephew and actor, Mohit Marwah.
Her brother in law, Sanjay Kapoor confirmed the news to leading daily, Indian Express. He said, “Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet.”
Sridevi was very much active on her social media accounts and was continuously sharing moments from the wedding.
It is indeed a dark-day in Indian cinema as we lose one of the most graceful and talented persona’s ever seen. Celebrities and fans from across the country mourn the untimely death of the legend.
Known as the first female superstar of Bollywood, Sridevi started working at the age of 4 and has celebrated over 250+ films in Bollywood as well as in the Southern film fraternity for 50 years. She gave blockbuster performances in the biggest hits including Himmatwala, Naagin, Chandni and Mr. India to name a few. She returned to the big screen with her breakthrough performance in English Vinglish.
Sridevi was extremely ecstatic to see her older daughter, Jahnvi Kapoor make her debut this year in Karan Johar’s film, Dhadak.
