The Indian Women’s team table tennis won against Singapore at Oxenford Studios on Sunday
Manika Batra’s singles matches against Tainwei Feng and Yihan Zhou was the turning point since that was the difference between the two teams.
Batra, 22, considers this win her best performance so far and acknowledges her coach and team’s support behind her success.
It’s the first time ever that Singapore lost the team table tennis event at the Commonwealth Games which was introduced in 2002.
Manika scored the biggest of her career and inspired India to a historic gold medal.
Congratulations to the Indian Women’s team, you make us all proud!
