What a relief this is going to be for Kolkata Knight Riders! Sunil Narine’s bowling action has been cleared by the International Cricket Council. The West Indies spinner can now resume bowling in both International and domestic cricket. This means he will be a part of the KKR squad during the IPL 9 season.
Narine last played a match in the Bangladesh Premier League. But, after being reported during an ODI in Sri Lanka,. ICC had conducted a restest in Chennai at the Sri Ramachandra University on 28th March and his action has been found legal, just two days before the IPL.
The test revealed that the bowling action was within the 15- degree limit permitted under the ICC regulations. That’s the good news.
However, Sunil Narine might miss the first match for Kolkata Knight Riders against Delhi Daredevils on 10th April because he has returned to the West Indies following the demise of his Father.
