Indian smartphone maker Micromax on Tuesday launched Canvas Mega 2 with a 6-inch display and has priced it at Rs 7,999.
Micromax Canvas Mega 2 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor that comes paired with 1GB of RAM. It comes with an internal storage of 8GB expandable to 32GB) . This phablet comes with an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The 6-inch IPS LCD display however has a disappointing (960×540 pixels) resolution. The phone also has a 3000mAh battery and uses Android Lollipop 5.0. The phone supports 4G.
Mr. Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Informatics said “With the proliferation of 3G and 4G networks, the mobile video traffic is expected to grow at a CAGR of 88% between 2014 and 2019. Mobile gaming is another big area of growth . This has led to the phablet category’s phenomenal growth of 190 percent in 2015 over previous years.”
