Mumbai International Airport Wins Prestigious Capa Award

GVK Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (MIAL), the company that manages the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), was bestowed with the coveted ‘Award for Excellence’ in ‘Air Traffic Management productivity in Indian aviation’ at the recently held CAPA India Airport & Airspace Summit 2018 in Mumbai.

The award was presented to Rajeev Jain, CEO, MIAL by Ralph Hays, Consul General & Trade Commissioner, New Zealand Consulate-General Mumbai, at the summit held in Mumbai.

The award recognizes the airport’s committed focus on improving airside efficiency. Mumbai Airport has managed to increase runway capacity considerably over the past few years. The efficiency of air traffic management places Mumbai airport amongst the best in class globally for a single runway operation.

CAPA’s Awards were aimed at rewarding airlines and airports that were successful and provided industry leadership in the challenging environment. The winners were independently researched and short-listed by a team of analysts at CAPA – Centre for Aviation.
