Prestigious 19th Suryadatta National Awards 2017 Held Amidst Great Fervour

It was a dazzling event as a galaxy of awardees and special guests descended on the Bavdhan campus of Suryadatta Group of Institutes, on the evening of 7th February 2017. It was the occasion of its Foundation Day celebration, where Suryadatta confers Suryadatta National Awards to the distinguished personalities of India & Abroad for their remarkable contribution in their respective fields.

Suryadatta National Lifetime Achievement Awards & Suryadatta National Awards, were awarded to 23 personalities who received the honour in this 19th year of celebrations, in various categories, which generally pertained to the various courses conducted by Suryadatta Group in different disciplines such as Fashion Design, Beauty and Wellness, Interior Design, Hospitality Management, Sports and Fitness, Business Management, Health Science, Social Science, Public Service, Science & technology, Bravery etc. The purpose of conferring these awards is to encourage and motivate students of respective disciplines pursuing various courses at Suryadatta by closely associating with these personalities during the event and get inspiration from these stalwarts.

The honours were :

  • Suryaratna National Life Time Achievement Awards 2017 – The Saint of Modern India – was conferred upon Rev. Pujya Acharya Shri Chandanaji Maharasab.
  • Suryadatta National Life Time Achievement Awards 2017 were conferred upon Dr. Samprasad Vinod, Shri Vitthal Seth Maniyar, Shri Prem Chopra, Shri Vinod Ganatra, Ar. Christopher Benninger, Padma Shri Shahnaz Husain, Dr. Mangala Narlikar, Shri Kasturilal Jain, Padma Shri Shamshad Begum, Dr. Datta Kohinkar Patil, Shri Shantilal Kataria, Shri Maharaj Krishan Kaushik, Shri Kishan Sharma.
  • Suryadatta National Awards 2017 were conferred upon Avinash Pol, Shri Sameer Dharmadhikari, Shri Sandesh Navlakkha,  Shri. Zakir Hussain,  Shri Suhas Khamkar,   Shri Vivek Khatavkar.
  • Suryadatta Global Awards 2017 was conferred upon Smt Neeta Ramchand Dularam   ( Bali – Indonesia )
  • Suryadatta National Young Achiever Awards 2017 were conferred upon Zoya Afroz from Mumbai &  Rehman Khan from Delhi.

These awards were given at the hands of H.E. Shri. Shekhar Dutt (Former Governor of Chattisgarh, Retd. IAS, SM & National Secretary – Govt. of India), Shri. M. S. Bitta, Chairman {All India Anti-Terrorist Front(AIAF)} & Eminent Voice Over Artist Shri Harish Bhimani.

While communicating with the students in simple words, H.E. Hon’ble Shri Shekhar Dutt, former Governor of Chhattisgarh and National Secretory of G.O.I., said, “Give your best for whatever you do and ensure that nobody could do it better than you. This is the philosophy of Indian Army. Our former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam did whatever he did with passion and therefore became the Light House for the whole country”.

Mr. M.S. Bitta : National head of ATS said, “Our religion should be Vande Mataram and mother should be Bharat MATA. He said it’s difficult to eradicate terrorism till the politics of vote banks and power is not eradicated”. He asked students to remember three things : “Our motherland and be ready for supreme sacrifice for it. Remember that everyone is mortal but do the work which will make you immortal and remembered by generations to come. Believe in and follow secularism.

Dr. Dutta Kohinkar Patil who received Suryadatta Life Time Achievement Award for Excellence in the field of value based education said that one must be a better human being for being successful. The person who conquers his mind is the greatest warrior. While advising to accept the life with smile, he recited Marathi couplet : ‘Kon mhanto, Ayusha ek dankh aahe? Te tar phulpakharache pankh aahet. Who says life is a sting? It’s butterfly’s wings.

Famous TV and film actor : Shri Sameer Dharamdhikari while accepting his Suryadatta National Award for Excellence in the field of TV & Indian Cinema, said he always ran after the work. This made prosperity and success to run after him.

Jain Yuvacharya Shubhamji stressed on ‘wake up and make-up’ your mind. “We should inculcate value-based education in our children”, she said.

Dr. Sanjay Chordiya said, “I am confident Students & all staff members will get lots of  inspiration & value addition from them and thus they will try to become an iconic personality in their respective fields. Even if few of the students & staff get inspired and thus get transformed from these stalwarts, they can carve a niche in their respective fields”.

Dr. Sanjay Chordiya paid his humble respect and regards to his teachers and specially mentioned his Guru, Prof. Sharadchandra Darade of COEP Pune who played an important role in transforming his life.
